it amuses me not to have my voice recognised by the receptionist when i ring up work
was talking to the trainer at the course today & it sounds like everyone who's applying for social work jobs at the mo are in the same 'waiting to hear' position re: registration which pretty much meant that the only thing stopping me going out and applying for jobs right now is my own avoidance. Have therefore sent of for application packs for a couple posts: the interviews for both would potentially be during the time I have off in April so I definitely won't try to make Thailand happen then. It feels a reasonable compromise to feed into my procrastinatory instincts on one front (making visiting Jonny happen) by thwarting them on another (looking for a new job.)

Date: 2005-03-19 03:53 pm (UTC)yes, an irrelevant comment, but couldn't resist passing on this
little gem, in case you missed it:
www.timesonline.co.uk
pop ASBO into the searchbox and pick today's
"News in Brief" hit
to find the heartwarming story of the man who was barred,
by clerical error, from not being drunk in public.
Go, Stephen Winstone of Weymouth!
