hmmmmm. to job hunt or not to job hunt?
I'm hoping to move on at some point in the next six months: I'm comfortable where I am but not stretched and I need a job where the more responsible parts of the role are necessary rather than an optional extra or I'll carry on ducking away from them. There are some openings for exactly the kinda thing I'm hoping to go into in the papers
cryx has obligingly left around the flat but I really need to wait for the confirmation of my registration to come through (social workers, like sex offenders, needing to be on a register come April 1st) before I start sending off applications: also, since I trained in Children & Families and I'm looking to work in Mental Health, I kinda think I should use the intervening time to do my research on the systems & resources I won't know about before throwing myself into it- but will that just go the way of the stats I was going to teach myself when I's thinking of moving into research & am I just abrogating responsibility again by putting the whole process off?
In other news: K. and I are crap, having both hung around in the place we'd agreed to meet at the agreed time for half an hour and failed to actually meet up, particularly annoying as I'm not sure when I'll next see her given how busy my evenings are at the mo. I went to see Hotel Rwanda instead which was very affecting.
Am planning to make it to the pub in Egham tomorrow so hopefully see some people there.

Date: 2005-03-16 11:34 pm (UTC)He's been in the field for ages and ages and ages (he's a CPN, which I mention because a lot of people don't know this!). He also knows people all over the place and can tell you which places have halfway decent management, models and systems.
If you don't have one of our mobile numbers, I'm sure you know someone who does.
