so jt about the time I should be planning to get some proper sleep for the first night in a while, I appear to be feeling the most awake and functional than I have done all day- was overcome by a wave of feverishness towards the end of work, felt like I's gonna pass out a couple of times, but it seems to have pretty much evaporated with food, rest and drugs so I suspect it was more to do with a tired body failing to cope with the damn humidity down in those crypts than actually being ill.
I did technically get plenty of sleep last night but I think after weekend of hecticness and a spontaneous trip to Red Eye with
winterdreamer I probably needed more than plenty. Red Eye was cool, though, quite busy and with many new faces (including random dancing cammies!) rather than the usual crowd I see down there which was all good.

Oct 10 1978 - September 24 2003 R.I.P.
15 July 2004 - matthewjay.com (http://www.matthewjay.com) is happy to announce that the second album is now almost ready for release. The album, entitled MATTHEW JAY '...too soon,' will be available in August from selected online retailers (details to follow).
The album will serve both as an introduction to Matthew's music for new fans, and provide copies of early and rare recordings for those fans already bitten by the Jay 'bug'.
Due to popular demand, it has been decided that this album of rarities should precede the release of new material, as many of the early songs are still missing from the collections of fans around the world, especially in countries outside the UK. Therefore, Matthew's family have gathered together a specially selected collection of the songs that are harder to find, such as tracks from the EPs, and single flipsides. Together, these tracks form a great album.
Mattthew Jay '....too soon'. will have a limited release with retail entirely online. Proceeds from the sales of '...too soon' will hopefully fund production of a third album, featuring the exquisite recordings made shortly prior to Matthew's passing. So spread the word: the more albums that are sold, the sooner we all get to hear those wonderful songs!
