when the sun goes down

okay, have had two nights of eight-hours sleep and am beginning to feel a bit more functional: only a small sleep deficit left to catch up on (just in time for it to be the weekend and me to build up some more . . .)

went to see Bad Education last night which was pretty good (and very Almodovar) but didn't quite blow me away as much as I'd hoped it might. I was planing to get Maggie a ticket to go see Alan Bennett's The History Boys as the fulfilment of her birthday present but having taken her to Red Eye and Bad Education already this week, I kinda feel I ought to take her to something a little less gay . . .

in other news we appear to have been left with a watermelon and a freezer full of ice-cream: I feel the need to make milkshakes coming on . . .

(oh, and apologies to iruineverything for tormenting her with yet more rufus-quotes: he appears to have taken up a residency in my head at the mo . . .)
