this prison of the house
Mar. 18th, 2004 08:48 pmwas back in work today, although mainly to give my boss the chance to see the doctor about his own plagueulences. although the right combination of drugs seems able to give me spells of perkiness and clarity, whether I'm actually getting any better is rather less clear: during the daytime there seems to be improvement, fluiness and exhaustion being replaced by sniffliness and a distinctly spaced out effect, whilst at night I seem to be getting worse and worse. Constant stabs of bone-chilling pain which are replaced by sweat-soaked feverishness when I try to fight off the cold with more and more layers of clothing. Wasn't able to sleep anymore after 5 yesterday morning, or after 2 in the morning today whcih gets very very dull when you can't really concentrate on anything for too long & you're trying not to disturb your cohabitants: when you've watched six episodes of Sex and the City before 9am you know it's gonna be along day.
Am supposed to be going up to the National tomorrow & was beginning to wonder whether I'd be making it but medication currently making me feel pretty chipper so hopefully if I keep that up I should be okay & have Doctors appointment booked for start of next week if my body still hasn't got its act together by the time I get back.
