Apr. 19th, 2019 05:33 pmWe had a partial success on Monday night in that all of our tabletop group actually got together down in Lewisham without cancelling, but then one of our hosts wasn't feeling well and we had to abandon without really getting any further into our 7th Sea game than re-orientating ourselves, but it was good to see people.
On Tuesday I was at the Camden Assembly and hooked up with a couple of guys from the Meet Up group to see Big Spring: they were supported first by female-fronted Heavy Heart, then fellow-Brightonians Sick Joy, who I'd actually seen more than the headliners; Big Spring did probably earn their spot though, with an energising slice of rock.
I only made it to the Scala the next night, however, for headliners Indoor Pets (thanks to spending about 20 minutes at the checkouts in Sainsbury's, having decided to do my Easter shop before heading out) but it was great to see how far they've come, as the place was filled with a committed young crowd who threw themselves into it. N came over Thursday night and M was around too, so we settled into our usual dinner-then-crossword routine.
