I was wiped out on Thursday by an intense 24 hour bug which meant no Boxer Rebellion gig for me :-( I wasn't even compos mentis enough to try to sort out offering the ticket around but luckily a day of lying down seemed to be wonderfully recuperative and I's sufficiently back in action Friday to still head out to Sin City in the evening with a veritable gaggle of people; I didn't recognise as much of the music as usual (particularly early on) which, whilst sad for me, was probably a good sign for rock music as it does sometimes feel as though I've been dancing to the same old songs for 10+ years. There was dancing and fun and relative lack of horror getting home again though which was all good.

Saturday involved lots of pleasant hanging out with my sofabeasts and then a brief foray into town to have food with Steve & Ruth before an evening of indolence, there are still a load of things on at the cinema I want to see but given recent ticket-buying flurries I figure I may actually have to exercise some restraint on my spending . . . So Sunday was similarly relaxed, including an enjoyable and remarkably easy trip to the environs of Charlton to celebrate
