died a death as the punks grew up?

weekend's been good (& gone quick as always)- I think I managed a good balance of doing stuff with just taking it easy for once; the other major plus was actually getting to dance/jump around to music quite a bit, which I feel like I've not done for ages. We stayed at Popstarz till the close on Friday night then Saturday evening I caught a bunch of the bands at Scumfest* which was a lot of fun; today there was a BBQ for a friend's 30th in a sunny garden and in-between there's just been pottering about doing a few things that needed doing.

It's just as well as this week promises to be kinda hectic- C is coming over from Sydney and staying but there's also going to the cricket with my family, Manchester to see Leonard Cohen, my friend Kat in London for the only time this year for one night, Dark Ages, a trip to the Globe, a meeting and a benefit night for the queer music festival I'm supposed to be helping organise for a month's time and potentially an exploratory trip to rock society: just hoping C doesn't mind being dragged along to one or two of those . . .


*the event I mentioned previously as Scumfest was actually just a benefit for it, I think, this weekend was the real deal

I'm slightly amazed to see that the LC tour has kicked off to some very good reviews. The set-list seems to be the same every night, which is slightly disappointing, but you can't have everything I suppose...

Everyone who posted on my LJ was all "Oh; but the poor doggie/we shouldn't laugh" ... I expect better of my friends! So thanks for restoring a little of my faith there!
