THEN: I was at uni: Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford
NOW: nowhere but plotting how I can wangle doing a part-time certificate in Ancient Near Eastern Studies at SOAS

3) Where did you work?
THEN: no employment for me!
NOW: West London Churches Homeless Concern, based in Chelsea

4) Where did you live?
THEN: I was somewhere between living in college [Lynda Grier!] at the end of my 2nd year and moving back to my parents for the summer
NOW: Bleary House/The Vauxhall Asylum

5) How was your hairstyle?
THEN: hmmm: my hair at uni went long&red, short&red, short&black, long&black: I suspect I was somewhere in the middle of all that
NOW: scruffy dreds

6) Did you wear braces?
THEN: No.
NOW: No.

7) Did you wear contacts?
THEN: No
NOW: Yes- things of wondrous joy!

8) Did you wear glasses?
THEN: Yep
NOW: more than I used to recently: stupid eye infections

9) Who was your best friend?
THEN: iruineverything
NOW: can't really narrow it down any further than iruineverything, cryx, Maggie & K

10) Which of your pets was still alive?
THEN: think Jes had probably died by then
NOW: I am allowed to count the worms?

11) Who was your boyfriend/girlfriend?
THEN: boyfriends were still a thing of fabled myth back then, and one I was actively trying to avoid as God didn't like that sort of thing
NOW: no-one for the last month or so

12) Who was your celebrity crush?
THEN: River Phoenix, Mark Ramprakash, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers or was he more a year or two later?
NOW: nyeh, celebrities ain't all that

13) Who was your regular-person crush?
THEN: oh oh oh Sam
NOW: hmmm, probably R who I worked with over the winter & came round for tea Wednesday night

14) How many piercings did you have?
THEN: none
NOW: 4!

15) How many tattoos did you have?
THEN: zip
NOW: nada

16) What was your favourite band/singer?
THEN: Suede, Radiohead, Leonard Cohen
NOW: Bright Eyes, Dogs, Placebo [plus the above still!]

17) Had you smoked cigarettes?
THEN: the odd one here and there
NOW: a rather greater accumulation of the odd one here and there

18) Had you got drunk?
THEN: Yeah but my undergrad years weren't a big drinking time for me
NOW: about three or four times a week? but generally 'a bit drunk' and no more

19) Had you DRIVEN?
THEN: yeah, only down around the New Forest
NOW: yeah, but not much more than I had when I was 20 other than for work in Sydney

20) If so which car?
THEN: um, a white one . . .
NOW: I think the work cars were a Yaris and an Echo, I only know that because that's how we distinguished which one we were taking out (the third one was distinguished as 'Anglea's Car' so I've no idea what make that was . . .)

21) Looking back are you where you thought you'd be in ten years time?
Absolutely not & I'm very grateful for it: the last 5 years in particular I feel like I've come a long long way
