why the ghost's alive in this cave
Jan. 28th, 2008 10:40 pmmade it to both Sin City and Decadence & Disorder over the weekend: enjoyed both although neither became an unadulterated dance-a-thon, the latter was at Sin, which as a venue for various nights I've been trying to check out for months- I liked the venue and the crowd although the music didn't blow me away; I'd arranged to meet disparate clumps of friends both nights (full marks to
turtledisc for making it to both!) which was kinda fun, although maybe also why I didn't settle totally into a groove
had a weekend for seeing people I'd not seen for 3+ years: as well as running into Brahim, who used to date the Finnish girls I lived with when I first came to London, at D&D (it does abbreviate all too easily . . .) I had lunch with an old school friend, pre-club drinks (with Mags) with the ex of another old school friend and ran into a guy I used to organise with at the film screening Sunday. That went well: we had about twenty people there and it all ran pretty smoothly which was heartening for something that I was as much involved in organising as anyone else (as well as neatly erasing memories of the film-screening we tried to do at NewQ where 3 people showed up and the guy forgot to bring the film . . .) Went to see Sweeney Todd with T. after which was the most gloriously gruesome thing I've ever seen- although whilst I'm generally pretty pro-musical, and especially pro-Sondheim, the music didn't actually stick in my mind all that much.
ION, this backing up your computer thing? There isn't a handy BACK-UP COMPUTER button or something is there? Or do you just drag the files you want to keep copies of onto discs till they're all full and everything?
