made it to both Sin City and Decadence & Disorder over the weekend: enjoyed both although neither became an unadulterated dance-a-thon, the latter was at Sin, which as a venue for various nights I've been trying to check out for months- I liked the venue and the crowd although the music didn't blow me away; I'd arranged to meet disparate clumps of friends both nights (full marks to [livejournal.com profile] turtledisc for making it to both!) which was kinda fun, although maybe also why I didn't settle totally into a groove

had a weekend for seeing people I'd not seen for 3+ years: as well as running into Brahim, who used to date the Finnish girls I lived with when I first came to London, at D&D (it does abbreviate all too easily . . .) I had lunch with an old school friend, pre-club drinks (with Mags) with the ex of another old school friend and ran into a guy I used to organise with at the film screening Sunday. That went well: we had about twenty people there and it all ran pretty smoothly which was heartening for something that I was as much involved in organising as anyone else (as well as neatly erasing memories of the film-screening we tried to do at NewQ where 3 people showed up and the guy forgot to bring the film . . .) Went to see Sweeney Todd with T. after which was the most gloriously gruesome thing I've ever seen- although whilst I'm generally pretty pro-musical, and especially pro-Sondheim, the music didn't actually stick in my mind all that much.

ION, this backing up your computer thing? There isn't a handy BACK-UP COMPUTER button or something is there? Or do you just drag the files you want to keep copies of onto discs till they're all full and everything?

Many thanks again for organising the clubbing event. We got back at 4am eventually. I feel really accomplished that I'm 31 and can still party with the best of them :)

As for backups, I recommend:
http://docs.google.com/

Online storage is the future, and google give it to you for free. I'll send you a gmail invite :)

windows can have a 'backup now' kinda button, but as i remember it's not installed as standard, and you have to install it from the CD. fortunately you can also d/l it from teh interwebs. It's called 'windows backup' and you'll find it on the microsoft site.

That being said, it's really not the best option out there, but I've been lazy and not foudn the best one yet (and I really really should). Good luck inthe hunting!
