The end of January saw a full-on flurry of livestreaming from bands, presumably to mark Independent Venue Week: on the Thursday night I saw King No-One take their turn on the Scruff of the Neck Twitch, then jumped over to the streaming of a two-day music festival called Music Feeds- it had lots of artists that excited me playing (October Drift, James, Walt Disco, Kyle Falconer, Fontaines DC, Ferocious Dog, Flogging Molly) but each doing two or three tracks, non-consecutively and with no kind of published running order, which made for a pretty disjointed viewing experience. Friday I watched Gaz B's weekly stream, followed by the second day of Music Feeds, then on Saturday, after a pretty miserable walk in the rain along the Regent's Canal with N, caught up with streams from False Heads and Frank T that I'd missed on the Thursday in the afternoon, before seeing Kid Kapichi on SOTN and then The Novus in the evening.

On Sunday I had agreed to run some D&D over Zoom for my friends who have two young sons, so spent the morning preparing: it seemed to go pretty well, given I haven't run anything for at least a decade, although two hours was all they could really manage before restlessness set in. This at least freed me up for the family check-in at 5, before seeing Kid Kapichi do an album launch livestream in the evening. The livestreams were good multi-tasking time as I'm looking all set to move in to N's at the end of the month: his longest-standing housemates are moving out and it doesn't look like M will be able to buy me out anytime soon, so it seemed to make sense for me to take the room while it was available, as who knows how long we'll be stuck in this situation; so I've started packing up my room, I wanted to start early as I didn't want a massive stress nearer the time but may have peaked too early, as I'd already got the majority of stuff done and so am going to spend the next month living surrounded by boxes.

Monday was back to my more familiar role as a D&D player, then I had a nice long chat with Ketch Tuesday evening, I had one planned with K for Wednesday but we both felt like taking a rain check, N & I did have a facetime chat Thursday evening though and Friday was back round to Gaz B again, although he had to cut it short when his dog swallowed an inhaler, so I moved over to catching up with Frank T's livestream from the night before and picking up the chat with K.

N & I met up at Abney Park cemetery last Saturday and had a wander round that, Clissold Park and some of the Woodberry Wetlands, before I headed on up to Ikea to harvest more boxes so I could carry on the packing. I had a busy Sunday planned, with a zoom chat with J&J, some friends of N & mine in Australia, first thing, then a nice walk around the Heath with M, so I was pretty releived when roleplaying with S&L's kids got postponed, so I had some time to myself before familyzoomtime.

This week's been pretty cold, I've turned my radiator on for possibly the first time in my six years here, I've pretty much given up on trying to go for walks on the days I'm working from home and don't regret a thing. We finished off a chapter of the D&D game we've been playing for I guess over 6 months now on Monday night, but have been busy planning a new one to launch straight into next week. N and I did a crossword over facetime Tuesday, I had some much-needed time to myself Wednesday evening, after an online work Away Day took up most of the day, then managed to catch Frank T's livestream live for once, which was this time in aid of The Black Heart.

Gaz B managed a full set last night and today I've been loving having a whole day at home with no plans, pottering on with some packing and life admin, not venturing any further than the supermarket.
