Oct. 21st, 2002 11:34 ambusy weekend of mostly niceness: out for Sarah's birthday friday, ate a whole pizza (woohoo) with all her pleasant and smartly dressed friends; Mr. Stafford was there making me feel at ease with my scruffiness and talking about clever stuff which was cool.
Anarchists' Bookfair on saturday (which means I've been playing Cam for two years now since that's where I went with the guy who plays my sire when he was (the only one) being all nice and welcoming) with the usual crush of crusties and guys with cool hair, worrying numbers of whom I can put names to now. Queeruption had a seminar booked which quite a few new faces turned up to which is cool cos we're all a bit haggard and out of energy still and needed an injection of enthusiasm and ideas. Embarassingly the guy I based my Sabbat character on also turned up who I wasn't really counting on running into again.
Saturday evening was the Cam southern regional in Cambridge which was fun (I got to angst more publically than usual) and then it looked like we were stranded in Cambridge (I must learn to plan for these things) and then Matt was gonna go miles out of his way to drive us back and then a deer jumped out in front of us and it all went horrible. Much shivering on the verge and gingerish atempts to move deer corpse out of the road and aching of frozen feet but Ben's bottomless anecdote fund kept us sane till the flashing orange lights came into view.
Ended up staying the night in Hatfield then down into London in the morning to see Bodyworks with Dave&Maggie which was cool and interesting- I actually found the plasticated vascular systems way more fascinating than all the muscles and bones and foetuses . . . oh and the way that without the scrotal sack the testes hung down, like, a foot and six inches apart from one another, I never really got used to that.
